Companion is as of writing less than 100 days old, but we are always looking to expand our team of collaborators.
We work as a tight-knit team and therefore every individual that we work with is crucial to the success and culture of a project.
As a digital design & product studio, 9 times out of 10 we take care of the build of our projects too. We are relatively opinionated in what technical stacks we use, but not to the point where this isn't any flexibility.
Our preference is to work with the JAMstack, with React or Vue as the framework usually and we have used a variety of different headless content management systems (mostly Sanity + Contentful).
A lot of our projects will have an e-commerce element, even if it's just a few products and therefore it's fantastic if you have experience building with Shopify, BigCommerce, Stripe Payments etc.
We're looking for developers that have a strong attention to detail, build accessible and performant experiences and are used to working on a build from start to finish and building all of it themselves.
If this sounds like you, or sort of like you, please do use the apply button below with some examples of your work and a bit about yourself.
If you're a thinker, strategist or communicator, we want to hear from you.
We often find with our projects that we need to work with a collaborator that is able to dig into the message that is trying to be conveyed and form it into something that isn't just the first thing that comes to mind.
For some projects we also undertake quite a bit of research, whether that is of an audience, the industry the project sits within, the clients competitors or new technology that needs investigating: if you're keen on doing that, give us a shout.
If you have any questions about the role(s), company or the work we do, please feel free to email us directly at email@example.com.
If not, please fill out the application form by click the button below. Using the form helps us greatly manage the application process, so we'd encourage you to use that rather than emailing an application directly.
All submissions will be looked at and reviewed. If there is an opportunity in the immediate future that we think matches, we will be in touch. If not, we will keep the submission on file until an opportunity does become available that we feel is right.
Unfortunately we are unable to provide specific feedback to candidates, but you may find this article on creative mentoring platforms useful if you are struggling to gather feedback on your work.
At this time, we're not open to working with a recruitment agency on this advert.
